Westinghouse wringer washers were very popular in Canada in the 50's and 60's. When I was a kid we had family in Canada and often vacationed there. It seemed everyone had Westinghouse wringer washers. Wringers retained their popularity in Canada for a long time. The Canadians were not as quick to jump on the automatic bandwagon as their neighbors to the south, especially in the more rural areas. I don't think Westinghouse wringers were sold in the US after the Laundromat was introduced in 1945. Westinghouse also had a spinner-washer in the 30's, similar to an Easy Spindrier.

The Canadian Westy wringers had both kinds of agitators. During the 50's and 60's, the higher priced models had spiralators in them, the lower priced ones had straight vanes. Earlier models had "angel wing" agitators.
