FISHER-PRICE!

Who hasn't listened to a Fisher-Price record player (which actually sound really good compared to the others)? Or who hasn't had the wind-up clock that tick-tocks while playing a song.

hey veg-o-matic

You have 3 products on your list that are my faves also, Velveeta, Pillsbury slice & bake cookies, and Jergens "before-there-was-Vaseline-Intensive-Care" lotion. LOL

Gosh, given the membership here, you'd think Crisco would have been mentioned a lot more often ;)

Oh, and cleanfresh, I hope you agree that Pillsbury Slice & Bake cookie dough--chocolate chip, the only kind worth buying--is best eaten raw. Just peel that sucker like a banana and go to town!

veg, the gourmet

I'm not that brave veg

I admire your bravery about Pillsbury ready-to-bake cookies. I really do. But I have to bake those babies first!! Shame on me for missing Crisco! As much as I like french fries. I like Wesson too, yet another iconic brand.

Push Button Transmission

The push buttons are great! Here's one from a 1964 Plymouth Savoy. (Last year they were installed on Chryslers).
Edsel's had a push button transmission with the buttons in the center of the steering wheel.
Some of the latest school buses use an Allison automatic with electronic push buttons.

was your home invaded by .........

Stanley home products and hostess gifts, Amway, Tupperware, Saladmaster, Miracle Maid cookware, ooohhh and lets not forget Home Interior. Guess all of these are still around. Any other lets have a party and buy this stuff brands? alr2903

My Grandma Baumann was big into Stanley products. For many years she used a mixture of Ivory Snow, and Stanley Degreaser for washing her dishes. I found a hostess premium gift last year when we were cleaning out her home in mint condition. What is it you ask? A set of Tupperware-type nesting bowls called "Stanley Flex", in pink, yellow, and turquoise. Very 50's, wouldn't you say?
