What Color Frigidaire Stove is this?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

This appears to be a model RE-38S and if correct, it was available in avocado, harvest gold, snowcrest white and poppy.  My guess would be that if it hasn't been repainted, it's white with bad lighting.  I do not find a date on the Frigidaire catalog that I'm referencing, but "almond" is not available anywhere in the catalog, so I'm guessing this is from about 1976 or 1977 (I do have a 1978 catalog and it does include "almond").

Camera problem . . .

Some digital cameras have a tendency to shift colors towards magenta. Look at how fluorescent-bright the magenta folder on top of the stove is - nothing else in the photo is so bright. I'm pretty sure the stove is either white or almond.

A nice warm shade of almond maybe

I agree with Lawrence; that stove is close to the end of the GM run and pink was long gone. Funny factoid, but when you learn baking and pastry from the French dudes, they actually point out that almonds(blanched) turn "pink" when they are baked properly. BTW these were WONDERFUL electric stoves. The ovens were huge and fast and the thick coil burners were fast and so hot you could wok-cook on the big burners with results similar to using a 30K BTU gas jet.

Burner configuration

I blew the pic up to 400% and it really looks like an arrangement with 3 6" burners. That range has a self-cleaning oven too!!! And Ken, I agree with you about the performance of those thick-coil burners and their ovens.

WE're getting one of these

in Harvest Gold, if the deal works out, possibly today! ... does anyone have the brochure that I could borrow to get copied, or alternatively copy one for me with a high quality printer? Glad to pay for this service!!
