What did you find thrifting this weekend?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

No cord

But this particular model uses the standard percolator cord.
Not the special cord of other models.

Made a great pot of coffee with it this morning, light came on when brew was done, and kept it at the perfect serving temperature till it was unplugged.

So, is this a 10 cup version? The "Spice of Life" perc I found last weekend is a 10 cup pot. It has become my daily driver.

Oh and what did I find this weekend...no thrifting, had to work in the yard... but wait.. not really a thrift find but the old lawnmower over at our little building went on the fritz so I got to go to ye olde lawnmower repair shoppe and buy a second hand Toro to replace it,it's not that pretty but boy it sounds nice, has a Suzuki engine and starts on the first pull. I figured a second hand older Toro is probably gonna be a better lawnmower than a new one around $150-$200.

"Faulty glued on handle"

If I remember correctly, Corning had a massive recall on all their electric countertop and non-electric stove top percolaters way back in the late 60's early 70's due to their glued on handles coming off while pouring and scolding numerous customers severely.I had two of the electric models and three of the range top ones.I prefered the rangetop ones because they cleaned up easier and the electric ones had an auqard stem that has the heating bar/element on it.Great pot of coffee but not as much fun to use as the lifelong(Proctor Silex)or Pyrex models.

Another great find

The seller wanted a whole $2.00 for the fixture, and ultimately just gave it to us for free since she wanted it go to a new home after doing a bathroom remodel.

Toggle took down the old fixture, patched the holes, painted, and here is the new fixture in place. We mounted it that way on purpose. We think it is really supposed to go upside down.

Looks Fabulous!

'Tis lovely with its thick metal and brushed finished. I'd even say it may be SS.

If it weren't on a dimmer, it may have gotten a CFL.
