I actually AM The Maytag Man. I'm a full line Tech with around 20 years in the field. I used to be factory service on all brands at one time or another, even on the exotics. Now, it's primarily the Maytag and Whirlpool Family of brands, for better OR worse...

Broadcasting equipment!Presently an engineer at a Short Wave International Broadcast station-Run and maintain 250Kw SW transmitters that broadcast to Africa,SA,and Cuba.Used to work in the commercial broadcast industry-studio maintenance and repairs and repairs to AM,FM and TV transmitters(Analog).Some of the transmitters I use are from GE!The rigs are 60,40 and 20 yrs old.Getting parts is interesting-thank goodness for the local machine shops for some parts!

Medical Records I do it all set up the records, research the records,file the records,do I-CD9 and CPT coding.Tryint to get certified as a coder but having trouble with the exam.But I love my job.

For a small boutique private health fund in Brisbane. Mainly manage the CEO and Executive Management Teams in Strategic and operational Risk Management and Legislative Compliance... (lots of reporting to the board...) Also manage Workplace Health & safety Company wide, return to work and rehab. programs, corporate inductions, training - learning and development plus also do a bit of project work... Also manage the Internal Audit program... think I covered it??!!??!!

Double major in IT and English.
So glad I did, was worth putting up with the taunts on both sides at school. Turns out PCs are good for something other than storing recipes...and sometimes it helps to clearly know why you are splitting your infinitives.
Also have two books to my credit and few slash-fic. short-shorts.
Don't know yet what I'll do full-time in the 'States. I love teaching, but all that political correctness and zero tolerance coupled with every child left behind leaves me skeptical...

Systems/Business Analyst in the I.T. Department - I design, program, test, train, support all computerized systems used by the company which operates rail passenger and freight service between Toronto and Moosonee (on James Bay), passenger & parcel bus service between Toronto and northern Ontario, as well as a local & long distance telephone carrier. At one time we also operated 2 ferries, a transport trucking company and a small regional airline.

I work for a charitable organisation supporting 16 to 25yr olds who have a history of homlessness, drug and/or alchohol use. I suppport them when they move into flats of their own helping them gain the skills needed to manage a tenancy.

I run the family's new & used appliance business. The company has been around since the 1930's. My dad has been the service guy since the mid-to-late 60's and bought the place in 1982. In fact, he'll turn 69 this year and still runs 10 calls a day (it keeps himm active & keeps him on the road out of my hair!). Before joining the family buisness in 1998, I spent 6 years as a car salesman and a stint as the finance manager at the dealership. I don't miss doing that.
