I work as a Media Services Coordinator at our local University. Basically I'm the A/V guy. LCD projectors, MiniDV camcorders, HDD camcorders, Flip camcorders, I-Life editing software on the i-Macs, poster printing, manage 18 student workers, try to not become everybody's emergency when they encounter problems with equipment! I also DJ/VJ part time at the dance club in Chambana.

Broadcasting equipment!Presently an engineer at a Short Wave International Broadcast station-Run and maintain 250Kw SW transmitters that broadcast to Africa,SA,and Cuba.Used to work in the commercial broadcast industry-studio maintenance and repairs and repairs to AM,FM and TV transmitters(Analog).Some of the transmitters I use are from GE!The rigs are 60,40 and 20 yrs old.Getting parts is interesting-thank goodness for the local machine shops for some parts!

I absolutely love my job - like any other it has it's moments but the freedom and pay is worth all the fun!!!

Don't know yet what I'll do full-time in the 'States. I love teaching, but all that political correctness and zero tolerance coupled with every child left behind leaves me skeptical...
