I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to get it from my iphone to AW.org.

The crate says Bendix and Crosley. The man who has it has several more and they are available. He owns an appliance resale store and has had these in the basement for several decades and would like to get rid of them. They are NOS, not used or rebuilt. He's not asking for all the money in the world, he'd just like to be rid of them and have them go to a person or people who would find a better use for them then scrap.

how much he asking for one?

And are there any stamped numbers on the tranny?

I have an old bendix motor being shipped to me and if I find the pic of it

I'll post it up so you can show him to see if it will mount to it?

I'm interested

does your source have any spare or used..

Motor shaft pulley for the motor pic I posted?

And I'm also looking for a water pump for the same motor too!

That is odd, it certainly isn't a power surge becuase there was no transmission in that. I've had the Economat transmission out and it looks nothing like that, unless this is a really early Economat tranmssion?

Mystery Transmission

Even I have never seen this transmission, so if I had to guess I think it goes to a wringer washer, if we could get a closer look at the agitator shaft it would be easy to see if it went to an automatic washer or a wringer, but from what I think I am seeing I am going with wringer washer.

I'm not familiar with wringers at all

Closest I've been to are pics on AW.

So I took the liberty of asking questions on the actual pic posted in the thread if that's ok?
Cause I'm seeing two possible senarios that I could use it in so far (far better than landfill) as that agitator outer post looks unbelievably THICK!

1. Extremely powerfull KM BD style drive agitator washer (intense fabrication of suitable basket to fit and agitator adapter plus outer tub..

2. As above but to use as a plant mulch mixer with fabricated auger instead of agitator

also was seeing a little lint bypassing

Through Small gaps on and near lint trap,

Still have to install brackets, closing felt strips etc,

Tee nuts? Socket plugs? Something quick for an easy plug n play

ooops not in sequence, but

You get the general idea..

Paper pattern (bristol board) first, make corrections then transfer to aluminum sheet after.

Then complete the rest of dryer mods, and then

Start on creating matching washer using "wringer parts tranny" to bd agitator washer!
