What is in your Detergent arsenal...and how are you folding.

I've been getting out of hand with surfectents and additives
but i say the more the better for me because i like to test stuff it keeps laundry interesting and i have all kinds of different textiles.
And have most detergent's that can handle the textils.

Here is the wash i did for my friends who moved to ther new home this is what i gave them as a house warming home present.
13 loads of laundry.
Washed
Dried
Folded
A all day event.
They where happy.
Do you guy's fold right away or leave in a basket and do later...
or hang on hangers
or put away in drewers and or closets after there done.

Darren, my friend, you have too much time on your hands, LOL...

Not quite the arsenal you have, but I like to test different ones here and there....but always have the basics on hand--Sears, Gain, Tide, Clorox, Borax, Ammonia, Clorox2, Washing Soda, Downy, and Dryer Sheets

PermPress is hung on a hangar during the drying cycle, while slightly damp and all the wrinkles are out...

Towels/sheets/whites are folded as soon as the dryer finishes...

Dark/Jeans are allowed to run into the PressCare cool down portion and then taken out and folded 2 pairs at a time, the Whirlpool dryer allows you to re-start while in PressCare...

easier to put away as soon as done.....but yes, folding is the worst part....with 6 kids its hard to remember who's clothes are who's!.....lol

I don't use liquid fabric softener. I detest the aromas and I 99% forget to add it to the rinse anyway.

I use (GASP!) store-brand dryer sheets.

About half of my clothes get folded. Black, white, and grey t-shirts (used as undershirts) get what I call a 'rolled fold'. They fit in the drawers better. Same with undershorts and socks. No need to be neat about folding them.

Button up, collared, logo or nice t-shirts, and polo shirts get hung. Shorts and dress trousers get hung. Jeans folded. I'd hang those too, but I haven't the hanging space

I always procrastinate in folding. It's not uncommon for a basket of clean clothes to sit for a couple days without me hanging them. As we speak, there's a load of clean towels that I did on Friday in the basket waiting.

I generally buy detergents in sale with a coupon, so I stock up when I find bargains. But I don't have a large variety. I am using up regular cheer liquid a friend gave me when he moved a couple of years ago - I only use that for dark things. The rest of the stuff are HE versions. The ones I have open in addition to the cheer are Tide powder, liquid Gain, All free and clear, and Charlie's Soap. I am not at home to double check, but the unopened ones I can remember are Tide powder, Clorox Green Works, Purex Complete 3-in-1 (a gift) and Wisk.

As far as stain removing additives, I have Tide Stain release (powder, pacs, and liquid), shout spray, shout stain stick, STPP, and oxyclean. I rarely use any of the additives, and they are all quite old except for the tide stain release stuff I bought when it first came out. I will only use a stain treatment when I have a stain and I want to run a short cycle. Otherwise I will run a longer cycle and everything comes out with just detergent. I used to treat all stains when I had a TL washer.

I do use Clorox bleach on bleachable white clothing, towels(all are white), and white sheets.

As far as folding, that is a task I greatly dislike. I will fold as soon as the dryer stops about 99% of the time. Once in a while if it is late and I am tired, a load of towels or whites may be left in the dryer overnight.

wow, impressive collection that you have there!
Not so much over here, I just use a blend of what is coming up.
Got some packages of my late dad's, got some bargain shopping finds and have got some "most favorites" (smells or packages that I care for for historical reasons).

What do I pick? Anything that my mood carries me to. (As simple as that).

Darren, may I add that you have a most spectacular profile pic, wow.

Nonetheless: When it comes to picking a detergent I just go by my mood, that's it. (Most simple, most "what's up" today, most "I feel like..." (fill in blanks)"

I now I have a few unusual items in my list, but the Dawn is great for greasy kitchen towels, or if I have a grease stain on something I will hit it with a dab of Dawn.

At work I am always writung, so I do get ink on my white lab coats and I spray them down with the AquaNet.

The Proxide is great for the blood stains on my white lab coats or my scrubs which are also light colors being misty green or ceil blue.

About folding laundry, old shirts that are worn at home get folded, good t-shirts and button up shirts get hung on wire hangers, jeans and shorts also get hung on hangers. Socks and underwear typically just go in the drawer as they are, my scrubs and lab coats get sprinkled and stored in the fridge until I get to perssing and starching them. Towels often are last and can live in the dryer for days until I need the dryer again.
Typically my good t-shirts and button up shirts are the only things to get addressed as soon as the dryer stops, nothing else matters if it wrinkles

So far I have the following and all of them I purchase on sale and with coupons so I spend as little as possible. Tide is by far the most expensive one I have...

-Purex (original scent)
-Purex (eco friendly version)
-Wisk (the new stuff)

Softener:
-Downy (I can't remember the scents but there are two)
-Snuggle (blue sparkle I think)

It's a lot but I tend to go through them somewhat quickly too with the dog, cats, and the two of us. I haven't used Wisk yet and it's been ages since I used Cheer. Currently using the Tide and today cracked open the back of Viva. That is great stuff!!! Nice suds!

I have cats in the house, so my arsenal is fairly constant, and continually being replenished. These are the products that have worked well at my house over the years, but new things are tried from time to time (as coupons appear in the Sunday paper).

As for folding, I try to do this as soon as the dryer stops. My dress shirts are placed on hangers to dry, and it is not really a chore for me to fold everything else.

by, I think, Danny Shanahan, entitled "You Wish."

It showed three front loading appliances in a row.

Washer.....Dryer.....Folder. (No, it was at a library, and I did not tear it out, or photocopy it. Sometimes my brain takes a little vacation.)

That's pretty much my comment on the subject. As I have said a time or two (hundred) before, wrinkles do not freak me out as much as stains do. So, I HAVE been known to get dressed out of the dryer.
