New spring seemed way to tight....

So the advice from and appliance repair person was to stretch the old spring to the frame.
The machine works perfectly and does not hesitate and dim the lights when it goes into the spin cycle.

Guess the new springs were too tight for the older motor.

Nice 806! It still amazes me that these older machines are out living the newer machines! I can't wait to be able to use my 606!

I found a used replacement clamp for my 806 at the Maytag dealer. I'm going to get the clamp and the belts tomorrow. I should have the 806 up and running tomorrow night.
