What is the best residential Whirlpool VMW to buy?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

None of them

And this is coming from a big whirlpool person. Why would any serious washer person buy a new top load washer?

The performance is inferior to any front load washer, it’s hard on your clothing. It’s hard on your energy bills. The end result is not as good.

That said we have many customers that own rental housing, etc., and they’re only gonna buy the cheapest possible thing and I understand the need for the inexpensive whirlpool top loaders. They’re very popular, but I would not personally buy any of them nor recommend any of them for anybody that’s serious about Getting a good washing machine.

Second with John

Makes absolutely no sense still sticking with top loaders these days. And the VMW machines are bad enough where I cannot buy one at all especially the one sold through Lowe's, I'd even take an LG top loader if I must.

Don't know about that John. Had experience owning both and I didn't see ANY appreciable difference in cleaning with a front loader. They're great for bulky loads granted but actually getting stale stench out of clothes with the tiny puddle of water in the front loader ??? No. No sir.

A full fill agitator top loader that actually submerges the clothes will do the job better.

I noticed there is a push for front loaders with many of you...almost like an agenda....

Getting the stench out of really dirty clothes

Hi Patrick, in order to get the cleaning punch out of the top loader that you get in the front loader you have to use about 10 times as much detergent because you have 10 times as much water.

And the rinsing is inferior in a top load machine you’re just diluting all that dirt and detergent in 20 gallons of water. It’s far more effective to use three or 4 gallons of water three or four times that’s just common science.

Try it yourself say your recycling a 1 gallon milk jug that still has 1 ounce of milk in it, fill the jug up with an entire gallon of water shake it up and pour a glass of it out. It will still be cloudy.

Then put 1 cup of water in that same milk jug Shake it up dump it out shake it up dump it out shake it up dump it out three times and the final water will be clear. And you’ve only used 3 cups of water, not an entire gallon.

Anybody that’s ever worked in a scientific laboratory knows this is how you clean test tubes and lab equipment. You don’t just sit there and flood it with water. It doesn’t get the thing rinsed, you use a little water several different times.
