What IS this? The missing agitator for Barbie's Norge?

Well kids, the other day I was out at Maui Ocean Center, repairing a big Curtis Gemini coffee machine (a model 612-ild, if anybody cares...)in the Seascape Restaurant kitchen. Once I got done with my repair work, I always do a quick check of the area to make sure I'm not leaving any tools behind. When I looked underneath the coffee machine (it stands off the counter on skinny 6 inch legs) I see this thing that looks to me like a small agitator. I HAD to tuck that into my toolbox (the devil made me do it!)so I could take it home.

I'm sure this has some other use, but what I do not know. I'm thinking that it is some sort of funnel.

Of course I did what ANY Washerboi or washergrrl would do-I made my own little washer! Too bad I cannot show a movie of this.

The item you have there is the center cap of a lid from a "brew-thru" coffee carafe. it screws into the center of the carafe lid, and the entire thermal carafe is placed under the brewer. The coffee pours directly from the brew funnel thru this into the carafe. We have a Bloomfield brewer that uses this type of lid. We get the carafes from Zojirushi.
