Found this on cl...what is it and is it worth the fifty bucks?
I did find a good amount of rust on the lint screen, but the drum looked mint as did the vent exit. The door was a little hard to open and seemed to stick at just open and three quarters open.

If it runs is it worth getting as a daily driver?

Well, I did not get that one, but another one, exactly like it, with NO rust anywhere.

It's sitting in my kitchen right now waiting for me to go and get the correct fitting to fit my gasline.

Well, it DID work. After running a full length automatic cycle perfectly, I reload it, push start...Hmm..No heat. Pull off kick panel and what do I see but broken ignitor parts inside the burner tube. How in the name of whirlpool did it crack a complete ignitor off at the base?

Sooo, off to APwagner tomorrow and see if they have one in stock....

Common Problem

Those igniters are delicate after years of use. If that dryer had sat in one exact spot, the igniter may have been fine for decades. But once it's old, and then the dryer gets moved around and jostled, they often crumble immediately. New ones are reasonably priced and will last for years.

That's what I figured. I was not really "gentle" getting it up to my 2nd story walkup..Wife has a bad back and my Dolly's stairclimbers SUCK.

Other than that, it's pretty clean inside, not much buildup of lint and it DID dry a load ran through my BLackstone wringer in about 40 min...
