I have said this before and will say it again - The hotpoint Aqaurius WM64 is the very best machine you can get, Well one of them, and I am still looking for one. Spin Speed: 1200RPM. Load = 5KG. Built in 1997-1999, these machines were the last of hotpoint to be built to last.
There are so many favourites. I sometimes do like Tom, use different machines for different types of laundry, trying to find out what the best machine and best cycle is for a certain load.
I also have some favourites that I don't have. One machine that will be always one of my favourites is the Miele 421S. One of the things I love about this machine is the rapid advance timer. Here's a picture of it in a 1973 Miele catalogue.
