Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

There are so many favourites. I sometimes do like Tom, use different machines for different types of laundry, trying to find out what the best machine and best cycle is for a certain load.

I also have some favourites that I don't have. One machine that will be always one of my favourites is the Miele 421S. One of the things I love about this machine is the rapid advance timer. Here's a picture of it in a 1973 Miele catalogue.

My Favorite Washer(s).... (Cont'd)....

(02). Would be one of the later Lady Kenmore Electronic Machines (in this case, the 1981 Model is pictured below with its matching dryer).

My Favorite Washer(s).... (Cont'd)....

(03). I would even go on the record and say that I would love the more modern LG Front Loaders now, but I have recently seen on "You Tube" that their current top loader has exploded inside of someone's house while it was SUPPOSEDLY doing a load of laundry, causing CONSIDERABLE damage to the matching dryer beside it. There was also some damage that was seen on the walls inside the laundry room where the machines were situated. The washer ended up being a TOTAL LOSS, despite the fact that it was less than a year old.

So, having said that, luckily, I happen to like the newer high-end Speed Queen Front Loaders as well. So, if I were to go modern as opposed to vintage right now, these "Queens" would also be my favorite. They are pictured below.

For me it would be any Whirlpool BD machine from the early 70's to early 80's. If it should happen to harvest gold, I would REALLY love it!

Those charcoal Frigidaires are amazing...No wonder you're proud of them.

I wonder what font they used. I love the look of it.

Well, I don't have anything quite as spectacular as many of you have, however, I am pretty excited about the mid eighties (85 I believe?) filter flo GE washer/dryer set I picked up. I wanted a washer that cleaned better than my late 2000's Whirlpool and did a bit of research... I decided on the GE filter flo because it was regarded as a good cleaner and I always liked the 1970's filter flo my parents had when I was little - I remember the washer because of the loud bang or pop it made when it would stop spinning. When this matching set in mint shape were available, i bought them immediately. They came with all the paperwork and a never used min-basket and filter - the lady never knew what it was for so she never used it!

Sorry about the bad pics.
