When I can I always try to do the cleaning ahead of time with kerosene and an air compressor. You have to be careful with a clock though. The kerosene and oil will end up inside the dial and mess it up. If the motor is disconnected from the clock you can do the kerosene thing, get everything cleaned, let it dry overnight and reassemble after cleaning and oiling. Clocks are tricky gadgets and easily damaged. You have to be careful with everything, including too much air pressure. [this post was last edited: 12/12/2014-18:31]
