Cathy got some strawberries from the parents of one of her guitar students and we were thawing some Bratwurst for dinner when I suggested we have breakfast with a little Euro flair. So, I beer-steamed the Brats, broiled 'em and paired 'em up with waffles from our Waring PRO Belgian Waffle Maker dolled up in strawberries and whipped cream.

Just thought I'd share. :)

Gosh, I'm hungry

Love brats, waffles with whipped cream and strawberries-mm mm mm! Will be getting a Belgian wafflemaker in the near future. Thanks for the pic Joe!

WOW! Looks DELICIOUS (of course anything that is beer-fried or beer-steamed is).

Homemade waffles are great as well!

I have to quit looking at this thread...I just want to pick up that knife -- but I don't know what I want to cut into first, the brats or the waffles!

:-)

Yummy!!!!!! Wish I had time for cooked breakfasts (English fry-ups are the best!), but half of the time I hardly have time for a bowl of Cheerios or Shreddies, never mind a cooked breakfast...

Joe, we've really gotta find a way of emailing food!!!

Jon :-)

Wonderful Waffles!

Here here Jon!! I totally agree about the e-mailing of food!

Joe:

That meal looked like it came straight from the menu of a favourite breakfast spot! I could just taste it! If you ever host a mini wash-in, I'm there (with my plate, of course)! :-D

no time for breakfast

Just means getting up a little earlier, it would be worth it. And then there's the weekends...

breakfast

Jaune

To be honest most mornings I don't even feel like breakfast, I get through til lunchtime on a cup of coffee and I do fine by it... and by the time I get up on Sunday's it's lunchtime already :-).

Joe, I'll be there with my plates too along with Venus! One for me, and one for my invisible friend :-) (i.e., a second helping for me :-D). And Venus, if you have any leftovers, could I have them? :-)

WOW, a lot better than the protein shake I had this morning. Just remember the work "diet" is "die" with a "t" added to the end.

But, I am approaching the 50 pound lost mark.

protein shake

That's why I like the Atkins Diet. I cn have a mostly "normal" breakfast, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, vegetables. Just have to leave out the toast with jelly, muffins, potatoes. I eat a lot of tofu in various forms. It's pretty blah by itself, but makes a great base for various recipes.

Thanks, everyone. I posted the image on Amazon.com to illustrate the finished product from the Waring Belgian waffle maker and someone rated it "not helpful".

Probably somone whose idea of a big weekend breakfast is Eggo waffles from the toaster and Swift's Brown 'N' Serve sausages from the microwave oven. ;)
