Brand new 810 washer? Wouldn't hold my breath but nice examples still pop up regularly, usually with the matching TOL dryer.

I have a Maytag A810 that’s in decent shape, though it’s probably going to need a partial rebuild at some point. Been sitting out in the shed since 2019. Considering on selling them since I finally have a Maytag 806 set, considering on selling the 606 set too. Just running out of space, unfortunately.

I’ll begin the process of cleaning them up sometime in the next week or so. Will have to fabricate a new tub to pump hose since it was leaking awhile back. The matching dryer will probably need a console from a donor machine at some point, will for sure need new glides installed since I don’t have the riveting tool, along with a new igniter. Have the parts on hand, just haven’t had the time to install them.

810S???

What are the two buttons of the left? Extra rinse or Suds Saver?

Wasn't this model one of the first non-center dial 'Tags?

I remember seeing these for the first time in the appliance department of Malley's in New Haven, CT.

I was shocked, no exaggeration.

Especially when I saw a model that looked like this:

TOL Maytag washers with the sudsaver option ended with the 806 model. There was no 810S, 712S, LAT9800S, A9900S, LAT9900S, LAT9904S. So on and so forth.

The 10 series washers beginning in 1980 switched to the righthand timer controls.
