Oh, i know that Bob.... I did not mean it in a bad way... I feel so bad for him because he's done this for so long and he want's to continue and i think thats great...

Happy New Year guys. Only about 9:30 here and we're heading out to a tasteful soiree......until I get there that is. All the best wishes to everyone here for a happy and healthy 2007!

Well, they'll be no sleep tonight, at least as long as the pyrotechnic exhibition is going on.....

AND, I came back to see if exploder's house is still safely anchored to the ground...

YEAHH...IT'S 2007!!

(The shelling has stopped. Now all you hear are the sirens.)

Enjoy your evening, and be safe.

Remember, as they say, angels are watching...

I just got home after spending the evening with a few friends that live close by. Omaha got it's first taste of winter today and I will be recouping tomorrow. Not from drinking, but from scooping snow... LOL! Greg, as always.... thank you for the fantastic wash party Saturday night. To those of you that were there, it was nice meeting you, and hope to see you again soon. Happy New Years to you all!

My New Years

Since I have the cold from heck, I am staying home, watching Law & Order, and the obligitory ball drop. Also, I am doing what I do best, Laundry! Sadly it's in a Norgetag, alas, I'll find my WCI-58 someday!

Happy New Year y'all. May 2007 produce even more, and better, vintage appliances than the very good 2006.

I spent the afternoon and evening up to about 8 pm working on the RCA-Whirlpool. Got the outer tub out, everything scrapped, cleaned, and treated with rust renovater. Spent a lot of time scrubbing the incredibly grimy tub ring - had to resort to Zud to get the most stubborn staining out. I've had that stuff eat through porcelain enamel so I was being a bit cautious. But now it looks very nice.

I tried polishing the bakelite agitator but it's evident the finish has worn away to the the matt finish forever.

Right now I'm watching a New Years Prairie Home Companion on PBS. All about bachelor Norwegian farmers, powder milk biscuits, Beebop-a-Reebop Rhubarb pie, and small-town life. Could be this crowd.

Tomorrow I guess I'll be priming the sheet metal and plastic-welding the rust hole in the outer tub.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! And so brings the end to 2006, a VERY good year as far as finds (and washer fun) were concerned.

I'm hoping that 2007 will be three times that!!! :)

Speaking of washer fun, Tucson 2007 is less than 3 months away! Now I'm getting excited...

I was lying in bed counting the days LoL

Nothing exciting. My friend's went to a Hamilton Loomis concert with their Mardi Gras Crewe. I stayed home and watched Cars, followed by The Sum of All Fears. Lots of fireworks outside, and gunfire: several automatic pistols and a few rifles fired - I know the difference between the sounds of guns and fireworks. Hope they fired into the ground, or fired blanks. I stayed away from windows.

Had an interesting beer (OK, I had several): Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale. Aged on bourbon barrel oak and vanilla beans. Not bad for an Anheuser-Busch product. Also had a pint of Guiness.

For dinner I had a twice-baked potato and a standing pork rib roast with sweet Chipolte glaze, courtesy of our HEB grocery store.

Went to a party last night. A friend has a 5,000 sq ft. house, and always has a huge NYE party. It was a lot of fun, and I saw friends there that I have not seen for a long time. Was great to talk to them again. Usually about 100 people attend, and it gets pretty wild before the night is over. I left about 11:30, as someone was coming over to my house.

I live in the hood, and we have a lot more gunfire than fireworks here. We get the same thing on July 4th. I do not worry about being close to the windows, or being outside, as the guys are simply firing into the air, not at anyone or at homes.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Am taking xmas decorations down today, and will make chicken for dinner. That is about it for me.

I have so much food in this joint that it's sad.

I have a tendency to overestimate sometimes....

And my mother is adorable...she left two huge sacks of bird food by the door, for the bird feeder!!

LoL... Your too much Toggs!

Sadly the only one i ever see any more is Val... Chrystal and i aren't friends any more (she choose drugs and i choose not to be her friend) and she broke up with eddie about the same time, who is off in lala land and is very emotionaly strung, so we see each other, but not often maybe like 1a few times year.. Sam moved and shes doing well but still she's in California right now... Val works third shift so i don't get to see her often, btu i still see her some... Boy those times where fun..Oh well
