Back in the early 70's I picked up an L & H Electric range that turned out to be vintage 1931 if I remember right. It was in a thrift store as-is yard. Back in those days, prices were written in China Marker on everything. I went home and came back with my own marker, wrote $5 on it, and it was mine. Ah, the golden age of thrifting . . .

It wasn't a practical stove at all due to being very early low tech coils (literally) for burners, but it was a pretty one. I sold it a few years later for like $50.
