What's with this HE Detergent?

So I have a question. I have this HE Detergent that says it's for high efficiency washing machines. My washing machine is not a high efficiency washing machine. Can I still use this detergent in it without ruining my clothes lol.

Surely it can be used ... but may need a slightly larger dose. HE detergents are formulated to handle a full load of soil, but in much smaller volume of water, so have a correspondingly different proportion of water conditioning agents, soil suspension agents, and enzymes compared to non-HE detergents.
