Something mentioned in another thread made me think... Where are your major appliances from?

I'll go first....
My 1958 Kenmore gas range came with the house (though it was always an auxiliary range). My 2007 GE fridge came with the house too.
My 1957 Philco fridge came from the original owner's house in Norfolk, Va.
My 1950 Frigidare range came from it's original owner's house in Arlington, Va.
My 1955 Kenmore came from a collector (customline) in Pennsylvania (forgot town, sorry)
My 1953 Westinghouse dryer came from a collector in Cleveland, Oh
My 1954 Westinghouse laundromat came from its original home in Charlston, WV
My 1968 Kenmore 800 dryer came from a house flipper in Durham, NC
My 1968 Kenmore 800 washer came from a collector (carmine) in Detroit, MI
My 1964 Maytag a702 came from a collector (tomturbomatic) in Beltsville, MD
My 1964 Maytag de702 came from the original home in Cleveland, OH
My 1977 Mayrag N2LPS was bought new by my great aunt in the small town of Poquoson, VA

And ones that no longer are mine:
'My'/Dave's 1962 Kenmore 70 dryer came from the restore in Cincinnati, OH
My 1951 Westinghouse fridge came from Manassas, VA
My 1958 Philco fridge came locally from its original home in Hampton, VA
My 1958 Hotpoint fridge came from it's second home, but original owners in Falls Church, VA

Observations: my appliances are from everywhere. None of my matched sets of w/d were purchased in the same state, let alone in the same house. It's interesting where they travel from in their lifetime eh? Everything I currently own with the exceptions of the 702 set and 70 series dryer (the latter's ownership is in debate) is in Hampton and the rest is in Cincinnati.

You don't have to go into as much detail as I did. I just always think it's cool to see where things came from.[this post was last edited: 7/9/2014-00:42]

My Kitchenaid, what is it, KDI-17 and my O'Keefe & Merritt came with the apartment, as did the Frigidaire through-wall AC Units. The Frigidaire refrigerator came from Abt (Abt, not A.B.T., it's a family name) in Glenview, Illinois.

My vacuum, a Kenmore cast off from my mother, came from, obviously, Sears, probably in Michigan City at Marquette Mall.

My expresso maker (DeLonghi) came from Kmart in Valpo.
Toaster (B&D Metropolitan) Kmart in Chesterton.

Everything else was a cast off from a neighbor (Cuisinart, Waring mixer & blender, ancient popcorn maker, Crosley table fan), most likely purchased from Marshall Field's (the replacement blender blades have Field's price tags on the boxes) or my mom (Oster blender, pink anodized percolator, etc, also from Field's I'd guess).

I also have a few things from my grandmother (Broil King toaster oven - my parents tossed her Sunbeam toaster for some reason - my grandmother would have purchased them at Hudson's in Detroit). I also have her old Hoover Constellation (my mother got rid of hers, which was in worse cosmetic shape, but worked better).

My stand mixer was a raffle prize from Jenn-Air at a promotional event for the Atrezzi line.

I also have an electric skillet which was a dumpster find.

I don't have private laundry, but the newest washer, a Whirlpool, came from Abt.

My 1987 Filter-Flo came from Yogitunes in N.J.
1983 Lady Kenmore came from it's second owners in the Morningside section of Pittsburgh
KitchenAid KDP-20 came from new owners of a home in Monongahela, PA
1967 GE 40" P*7 range came from original owners estate in Upper St. Clair, PA
1978ish JCPenney dryer grandma bought new and used sparingly as she didn't have a washer until 2003.

Newer appliances: 2003 Kenmore 300 washer, 2008 Kenmore 300 dryer, 1999 Kenmore fridge, and 2007 40" Frigidaire range grandma bought and I got with the house.

2013 Kenmore 18" portable DW, Kenmore 20 cu ft chest freezer, and 2014 GE Artistry fridge I ordered new.
