WOW

OMG Mark that is just amazing! I like how you did it in black, it will make a great contrast against all the machines. I can't wait to see it sometime. Please keep us posted.

Its a passage into paradise! Looks simply wonderful Mark, you will have just about the most amazing collection and display. So happy for you, good luck with it.

How VERY Nice

yes indeed, the floors are beautiful. May i ask are the tile New Old stock,or are the colors available now? They look like they have been waxed and buffed for hours. Wow. arthur

I LOVE THAT RAMP!

Its a teatament to good Egyptian engineering thats what it is!

Wow I think Robert is right the machines will jump out against the black walls. I think the problem will be to develop enough dirty laundry to keep them all going!! Thats the problem I have 2 weeks of wash is over in 25 minutes OY!

I bet it has that new linoleum smell and slickness too.

Can't wait to see it in action Mark!!

Cheers

The adventure is coming together

Hey Mark and Gary.

Great pictures. Someone asked why are the walls black. What a great idea for display. I know you're getting excited.

Hope to see you soon.

Really nice Mark!! Can't wait to see this area filled up with vintage treasures!

Hi All!

We can always have ''impromptu'' Wash-in's whenever I have a visitor! We don't have to wait for a special time, even though I would like to get a large wash-in on the schedule as soon as it is finished and all the machines are up and running well. All club members are always welcome. (including the boys that I argue with all the time. We good Christian women forgive, let go, and don't hold grudges or any of that nonsense) Arthur, I tried to get NOS tile but couldn't locate enough of the black color run that was the same shade of black. (would you believe, there are umpteen dozens of black shades available?) The pink tile is called bubblegum and then the turquoise was an easy find. There are still two more coats of paint for the walls and pipes plus four more coats of wax sealer for the floor. I have 9,500 watts of fluorescent lighting in that room since black walls eat light. With a two inch water line coming in for the hot and cold water supply, I don't think there will be a water pressure problem when all the machines are running. I have installed an 80 gallon water heater with quick recovery and have had it rewired so that BOTH elements come on at the same time instead of just the bottom element and the top for fast recovery. How water shouldn't be a problem. You can't see it but there are outlets on the ceiling to plug in all those wonderful sign/clocks that will hang over the collection. I'm also thinking of running a continuous shelf over the machines for the lighted Christmas displays but am not sure if I want to mix the two collections just yet.

Egyptian ramp

Mark,

I agaree with Jet, the ramp entrance is so dramatic. This is the absolute ultimate display for a collection, well done!
