Greetings

So chaps please tell me I am not the only one that goes around buying crockery, glassware and cutlery whilst constantly considering how they will fit into the dishwasher? ("Handwashing only" items = no sale!) I tend to aim for smaller sensibly sized and shaped items just so that they will stack nicely :)

So do you guys buy to fit or fit whatever you buy?

never thought about it...

I generally always find a way to fit anything in the dishwasher :P some of them don't stack in nicely, but that was never a problem to me

But I agree with you 100% on "Handwashing only=no sale!" :)

I knew when I bought the Kyocera ceramic knife that it would have to be hand washed, but it is so wonderful I don't mind and there is generally some sterling after a meal that has to be handwashed, too, so it's no biggie. I just squirt some Dawn on the microfiber dishcloth, hold it under the Instant Hot, suds it up and wash, rinse and dry each piece and I'm done. I always handwash the pressure cookers, not that they are used everyday

I bought my every day dishes so that they fit in the dishwasher. I wanted plates that would stand upright and not have to be tilted forward like some of the bigger, thicker stoneware. And I wanted cups that fit between the tines and not have to be put over them.
