Can anyone tell me which model this dishwasher is? Found this picture on PETERH770's collections. It's a Frigidaire Custom Imperial, but which one?

Thanks

Re: Brand Model:

This is a Frigidaire "GM" Custom Imperial Dishwasher, around the late 1960's. The one in the Pix is just like the one that I bought for my Parent's and in the 2-Tone Copper-Tone Color. It had the Electric Rapid-Advance Timer and a Vinyl Interior. It eventually had the Vinyl eaten away around the Tub opening, at the Motor/Pump connection, causing it to leak on the Motor. It had the largest capacity of any Dishwashers that we had, up to that time.

SactoTeddyBear,

Any idea on what model# it was?

pturo, I was lookimg more for the 60's version and model # :)

Peter, where are you?

I know this model is in my Frigidaire parts manuals, and I know I hung onto the dishwasher stuff...will dig into them and check this afternoon. As for the interior, could this one have had the Silver-Shower type spray arm? To my untrained eye it looks too new to be a spin-tube.

It's not a spintube. It has the black washarm with the diamond shaped holes in it. It doesn't have the whirlygig on the washarm, if I remember correctly. The specimen is currently being housed at Steve 1-18's home...

1965

This dishwasher was Frigidaire's first or second year of spray arm dishwasher production. DW-IUJ or DW-CIUK should be the model number. These were the two models that didnt have indicator lights showing the cycle progress, just the "on" indicator lamp to the right of the push buttons. I think its a "J" series because of the woodgrain overlay on the handle.

Oh GadgetGary, that is just wonderful. That will definitly help a lot, thank you soooo much!

and steved, thank you for the model numbers, that will also help tremendously.

Thank you both.

Interesting...

I see that the Frigidaire Dishmobile "Hurricane on Wheels", has an 'orbital spray system'. This surely pre-dates the European Smeg design!

It's funny the way old technology comes round again.

Gm Frigidaire Dishwashers!

These were awsome dishwashers. My Aunt had one of the more basic models that came with the house they moved into. It held tons of dishes. Even with the tower their was plenty of room. I never really liked dishwashers with towers, but this one was a exception. It did clean decently for a dishwasher from that time. The racking arrangement was superior to many others from that time as well as today.

So who is gonna post a video with sound?

I have never seen one or heard one in person.

Does the motor reverse to drain out or are there fill and drain solenoids and a constant-running uni-directional motor, a la GE and early KitchenAid?
