Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Whirlpool bearing will be made in China so I avoid those. Use one made in the USA, like SKF or Japan like NTN. I personally use NTN bearings.

I just looked them up on Ebay and these bearings are going on average for $300-$1,200 EACH. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">WHAT THE FUCK?</span> I use to pick them up for $10-$15! Is this a result of the plandemic? I know inflation is on the rise but this is ridiculous. Cheapest bearing I could find is $85.

Here's the sizing 130 x 200 x 33 mm

LOL!!!..."PLANDEMIC" you're absolutely right Dan!!! I call it "COVID-ING up the prices"!!! Inflation is on the rise but, the supply is definitely disappearing. I'm, we're very lorainfurniture is in business and in the club.

...more moisture resistant...thanks John L

Chinese bearings are just fine, this is aa very low stress application, Harry is your bearing even bad ?

Unless it turns and makes noise or does not turn smoothly use the old one, I bet I have not replaced 10 of these in almost 50 years and we have many good ones laying around, I have never put in a new one that's for sure.

Since it rusted inside I decided to replace it. I'm waiting for my Krud Kutter Rust Remover and Inhibitor to arrive so I can clean away my rusting parts...the tranny spline and helical, agitator shaft spline, and bearing

That's about 5 inches by 8 inches by 1 1/2 inches...

Not surprised it's expensive.

That's about 5 inches by 8 inches by 1 1/2 inches...

Just double checked the part# and I must have typed 6026 instead of 6206<span style="font-size: 12pt;">. </span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">*Whew* I thought the world was already starting to unravel.....</span>

6206

Funny, in my previous post I was going to post a link to a common bearing used in washing machines... a 6206. I decided it was unnecessary so didn't post the link.

Hope you find a 6206 at a reasonable cost. I always use the rubber seal version.

I always use SKF bearings when I can.

My first LG front loader I got with worn out bearings and broken spider. From memory the washer was only about 3 years old. I replaced both, used SKF bearings, machine has lasted over 10 years since repair, is on its third owner, still going strong.

SKF Trivia: They are a Swedish company and were the original parent company of Volvo cars. Volvo's company name is actually a discreet nod to the parent's company's main business making roller bearings - Volvo is Latin for "I roll."

SKF stands for <span class="ILfuVd NA6bn"><span class="hgKElc"> Svenska Kullagerfabriken; 'Swedish Ball Bearing Factory.'</span></span>

Krud Kutter Rust Remover...

You won’t be disappointed. I’m also restoring a vintage Maytag washer, and I’m using that stuff on the hardware to it. I would use it on everything rusty in the machine, but I can’t afford to do that at 50¢ an ounce. For that, I’m going with Evapo-rust, which is significantly cheaper. Haven’t tried it yet, but have heard good things about it.
