Okay, I've nearly got this machine mechanically 'flaw free' save for an irritating leak I can't track down. I think it's from this seam at the top of the tub. I've ruled out the hoses and valves. Is this a replaceable seal?

The seal/gasket is indeed replaceable. Look for part number 2-11232, 211232, or WP211232.

But from the looks of things, your machine has been spilling over the top of the tub for quite some time. Before removing that seal, it might be good to check that it isn't over-filling. It also would be a good idea to clean and scrub that upper tub cover, as there are drain holes that should direct splashes back into the tub, which are probably clogged.

Thank you for the info! I had suspected overfilling so I did open the top up and clean out the drain holes. They were indeed plugged. What would cause overfilling? The settings to control the fill seem to be working fine.

Isn't the clamp stainless steel?

Yep.

BTW- looks like someone replaced the bleach dispenser hose with a length of automotive heater hose and clamp.
