Whirlpool BloomWash.....

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have packed them plenty of times, never an issue with cleaning quality, or an issue with it handling the load....

one other claim to fame, it could hold, and handle ten king size sheets in one load!!!....that's a lot for the size tub it has.....

I have no issue washing my king size sheets, 4 pillow cases, and quilt all in the same load...

I posted about a Nineteen Hundred washer I found on ebay a couple years ago.  Thread 57910 has pictures from the auction.

I think there is already enough washplate top loading washers on the market already in North America. They should concentrate on bringing the prices down. I think $2000.00 and up for a washer and dryer set is outrageous.

" I think $2000.00 and up for a washer and dryer set is outrageous. "

Absolutely !!!

But what really gets my knickers in a knot is commanding the same price for the dryer as the washer.

There are probably 3 times the amount of components in a washer than a dryer.

If it's a FL washer you have the suspension, water system, pump(s) system(s), Drive systems weights, and more in depth complicated controls.

Dryers... Motor, Drive Pulleys, Heating Element and controls.

So the same amount for the dryer just so they aesthetically look alike ?

Not that Desperate for them to match. When ever I had to replace a dryer I used to go to Sears and get the Next up from the BOL Kenmore and they were terrific. (That is when they were made by Whirlpool.)

I'm not exactly sure what I am missing here -- isn't this a small variation on the Oasis/Cabrio design?

It wouldn't surprise me if Whirlpool had this designed in Brazil (by their subsidiary, Brastemp) to appeal to the Indian tastes better, given that both countries tend to have similar philosophies towards doing laundry, as far as I can tell.

Also, both Indian and Brazilian women tend to have a bit more pride in how things look, even in the laundry room, which is typically only seen by the servants and the home occupants, visitors only see the laundry room when getting a tour of the home or if you are having a barbecue and you have to pass by the laundry room going from the kitchen to the backyard, as it's often the case there.

Cheers,
-- Paulo.
