Today is in my opinion a sad day. Whirlpool has just finalized their acquisition of InSinkErator, The Highest Quality and the Original Inventor of the Food Waste Disposer. Unless Whirlpool Just owns InSinkErator now and the team at InSinkErator are still under quality control. This means nothing. What I am concerned about is if Whirlpool is going to inflate the prices and make the disposers even cheaper quality than the Anaheim Units (Waste King, American Standard, Moen, Whirlaway etc..) The Anaheim units are still decent quality and I think the Quality of Anaheim units is comparable to the badger but with stainless steel parts (Their Cheap @** units in the $40-70 range are still galvy though). The Anaheim units have a Permanent magnet motor which has an iconic unmistakable sound. They apply more torque as they stall. The RPM is much higher so you get the same result as InSinkErator's Multi-Grind Technology. Though the Evolution Excel does grind finer. Anyway, I hope that Whirlpool doesn't throw InSinkErator down the disposer (Pun intended) and make the Badger break on the first use and the Evolution break after 2 years like the Badger does.

Oh s%*+……
It does say they will operate as-is in Wisconsin as an owned entity. Not unlike how Emerson ran them.

Whirl pool buys ISE

This is a very good fit and whirlpool is already buying all their disposers from them anyway, one of whirlpools frustrations with the disposers they were getting from ISE Was quality problems and whirlpool certainly has better quality control then ISE has had anyway.

I think it will be a good fit especially since whirlpool has kept so much of their manufacturing in the US I think if ISE had continued it probably would’ve been shipped overseas probably the China at some point soon.

Ise has not made a good disposer ever sense they dropped there Cast Grind ring and Cast Fixed hammer flywheel. I have Two Ise 77 one from 1968 and another one from 76 and one has been working non stop for 18 years grinds just fine. I hope that Whirlpool makes them better.  The Excell is much much better than the ISE 777 which was a joke but they can't hold a candle to any old Maytag,Old Wasteking or Old Kitchenaid. I do agree with John, Whirlpools quality control is much much better. I have friends that work at Whirlpool and its crazy nuts how far they go.

If Whirlpool's Quality control is so good then why did the Calypso fail and why do the machines they make now not clean clothes? Not trying to argue but I am trying to make a point. Only Whirlpool Based Machines made now that I know of that clean clothes properly is the MVWP575GW/MVWP576KW and the Amana/Conservator/Crosley 4516 and Whirlpool's VMW Based Impeller machines with the first generation taller ("High profile") Impeller. The flat ones basically don't do anything at all.

Thats a good question. I have no clue , I am just referring to what my friends who work there go through well used to should say it was hell. They all quit because Whirlpool would text them all the time and tell them not to show up for work. They didn't have the parts and had to stop making things.I know it was getting better but not knowing when or if you work is unacceptable. A disposer is a much simpler item than the Calypso Washer which was very  very complicated.

Gosh, i need to run and buy a new TOL disposer BEFORE the whirlpool crap hits the market.

Talking about whirlpool, the 7th kitchenaid mixer they replaced under warranty chew the plastic gears in ONE USE.

Guess who will be unboxing a new mixer AGAIN in a few days.... meanwhile, my mom's kitchenaid still going strong, past half century, with my sister using it several hours PER DAY in her bakery.
