Thank you for all the great rebuild posts they are proving most helpful. I was able to remove the spin tube and tub after grinding off rust highpoints. I'm not too concerned with the tub but I am concerned that the centerpost is badly rusted. Do you guys grind off the rust then just coat with POR15? I'd like my machines to come apart again someday because I have one whirlpool set at my vacation house and one set at my personal residence and those are both daily drivers. I ordered a new bearing kit so hopefully the parts place that says they will be in stock shortly will follow thru.
