Whirlpool Donates Washers to Schools and Attendence Rates Improve

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I remember being in a classroom at the elementary school, it had a Kenmore washer and dryer, and a stove and refrigerator too.

I don't remember any washer dryers in junior high.

The high school had a closet with doors that opened to the outside. Usually they were closed, but once the door was opened and I saw a Kenmore washer and dryer set in there. There was also a room off the school kitchen and I remember catching a glimpse of a Whirlpool washer and dryer in there. Probably used for washing aprons and towels I guess.

Those are the only ones I can recall seeing at schools, although my kindergarten class was in a "pod" with others and I recall out in the hallway there was a full kitchen, and there may have been a closet with a washer and dryer in there, too long ago to remember!

People are going oou and ahh over Whirlpool's generosity

So many here saying thank you to Whirlpool. I say thank you Whirlpool for the smelly front-load washers, top load washers that don't clean, dishwashers that have their expensive circuit boards fail, refrigerators that die when full of food, and Aqua-Scam self cleaning that leaves the oven a greasy mess. Because Whirlpool doesn't care about people who buy their appliances with their own money, Whirlpool wants pats on their corporate back.

At least Whirlpool is actually DOING something helpful. That is certainly more than anyone else is doing. Give credit where it is due! And as far as Whirlpool's "smelly" front loaders, if you leave the door cracked they do not develop a bad smell. The LG made machine I have is made to leave the door ajar when not in use and it NEVER has any kind of odor.

My Duet has no odors.  But then again I use it with hot and warm wate4r washes.  No cold and no liquid detergents.

Yes, I agree AcquaLift is a disaster.  It's a joke.  But they probably developed this to be "energy efficient".  Because of this type of "cleaning" method, I won't buy one of their ranges with this feature and I tell people who are interested in them to run as fas as you can.  Others, they don't care and buy the brand based on appearance.  You get what you deserve.  I'd rather have function/performance than "look" and style.

Why do people that can't afford a washer and dryer...

....have kids?

I'll bet there are more than a few of us on this forum who weren't planned. We just happened and our parents had to deal.

Those of us on here who are gay don't need to worry about children "happening" but this is a common occurrence in hetero relationships. Not all unplanned children are born to welfare queens....
