Whirlpool DP840CWDB2….is this normal?

G’day!

While unloading my dishwasher, I noticed what appeared to be food residue and standing water.

Is this normal? And if not, how do I fix this? I’m definitely not handy, so I’d like to know what’s involved…

All normal. Take a towel and wipe the debris out or use a shop vac.

Yes, indeed normal operation scrape the dishes better or clean out the residue after a cycle. This is not a power clean dishwasher, which would dispose of food like that.
