I'm at a loss {so to say} I'm trying to find out from some Friends if their Whirlpool Dryer has a Dry Rack available. The Model Number of the Dryer is: {LET-6634-AWO}. I'm not too sure as to how old this Dryer is, so if it is in the wrong area for Posting, I'm sorry. I do think that it is in the year era for this Posting area however, otherwise it might just be right at the gap between older and somewhat newer. I've tried to locate one on Sears Parts and also on Repair-Clinic. Repair-Clinic has an Accessories area, but I don't know which Door this Dryer has as far as the Smaller Square Door, or the Larger Side-Swing Door, or does it have the Hamper Pull-Down Door, and the Cu-Ft Capacity of the Drum, especially needing to also know if the Bulkhead is Flat as a more Standard Capacity or Protruded as an Ex-Large Capacity.

"BTW" I've not seen the Dryer and evertime that I ask the Owners about the size of the Drum and about the Door, they don't let me know and we basically at this time are only able to E-Mail each other info.

I would gratefully appreciate any and all help, I know that there are several Whirlpool Washer and Dryer experts out there, who can help me to find out this info, thanks...

If its a newer whirlpool no problem. swap a motor, fix the broken thermalfuse. These things are easy as pie. Older ones (at least 10 years, not sure exactly)you have a different ignition system (gas) and a different coil (electric). No big deal. They are clearing out the last remaing small doors. People don't like them. The door is either big or small. These things are simple, and don't get parts from sears, unless you like burning money. Matt

Thank You:

John and Matt, for your info. I'm a little confused with your into Matt, was the first part of your reply only recommending these things to be done, if needed, or were you thinking that this Dryer needed some Repair attention?

John, is it possible for a Dry Rack that is available for a similar but different Model Dryer would work on this Dryer? When you mentioned about this Dryer looking like a Basic Model, does it have the Flat Bulkhead and would the Capacity be approx 5.0 cu-ft? The reason why I'm asking about that, is because I do happen to have a couple of Dry Racks of different sizes and I wondered if the smaller Rack would work on my Friends Dryer. I wanted to find out before attempting a drive to their house, even though they don't live very far from me. The Racks that I have are for a 7.0 and 6.0 capacity Dryer.

Thank You for your help again.

My point was that Whirlpool's are so easy to fix that it doesn't really matter. Get parts from your local used appliance guy. unless this thing is weird (a pair to a front loader or has some big digital computer board), any fix is a breeze...Matt

Thank You Matt:

I just wanted to clarify for sure what you were suggesting. I do happen to get Parts if necessary, through local 2nd Hand Dealers, unless I feel the need for a new Part, then I do have some alternate Parts Suppliers that I get those needed Parts at.
