Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Yeah, Ozzie908 I know...I'm not really sure why they designed the wash cycles like that...maybe they figure most people would add the softener in the extra rinse cycle.

I believe the clutch is released to begin the spin.

As I promised, I made 2 more WASH and RINSE vids using the maximum water level.

Thank you :)

It makes sense that you may want to put it in the 2nd/final rinse but why not turn off the water valve if 2nd rinse is not selected ?

Sometimes the designers need to do the laundry they would make things different then ....:)

DD WASHER FINEL SPIN SPRAY

The quick spray at the beginning of the spin is to rinse any lint and scum off the top of the load before it really gets the clothes against the side of the tub. This short spray of usually cold water will not remove much if any fabric softener. As most know FS is oily to waxy and this is why if you use it that when the clothing is washed the next time it is so important to wash it in hot or at least warm water or the FS will build up too much in the clothing and even the washer.

I think I could learn to love this DD machine! Thanks for the great videos. I had a WP DD in the late 80's it was only a 14 lb machine, and the agitator was very similar to this one.

Cool and I KNOW!!! I don't know why Whirlpool discontinued this straight vane agitator...with the "tapered" flex vanes. I can see if they wanted to save money with the 1-piece but, these flex vanes provide much, stronger rollover power.

I'm looking for the gray one (2-piece) with step-down notch flex-vanes...let me know...Oh yeah, guys check out my Maytag washer pics and vids in Imperial.
