That looks to be the exact washer that moved in next door when the family with the 1960 Kenmore 70 moved. But, the new pair was white. I am assuming yours is the 5-temps and variable water leve. There normal with superwash; perm press/wash-n-wear with super wash and gentle. The washer next door, perm press switched to gentle speed at 4 or 6 minutes on wash and the rinse was also gentle. Now the dryer was a step up. It waw gas, haed a full-width hamper door (and I"m assuming a bit larger drum similar to Kenmore cousins) and 4 or 5-pushbutton temps (pushing the temp button in also was "start" button). I loved that pair. A shame the dryer didn't have a buzzer. This set was still working when they decided to replace it with a TOL all push-button GE in like 1976 or 1977.
