Whirlpool meets the Garage

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

cool lookin washer/dryer combo! I like the slots on the side that allow hanging shelves. The casters on the bottom are a nice feature too, but I wonder if they make it easier for the unit to dance around when they go into spin cycle.

On wheels, huh? Boy, I'll bet THAT makes for some interesting spin cycles, especially with the tall stack.

Doesn't Whirlpool make a similarly-styled fridge for garages? If not Whirlpool, it's someone else. I know I've seen one somewhere.

I LOVE...LOVE...LOVE...the looks of this pair.

My favorite American FL up till now, appearance-wise, was the Frigidaire Affinity, but this knocks it out of the water!

Question...those panels that make up the racks on the sides couldn't possibly be made of plastic, could they? :0

When it does an unbalanced spin, it might roll away *lol* and the dryer might crash down. I would never buy machine on rolls even if they look pretty good like those two.

Gladiator compatabile

Whirlpool markets a line of garage storage equipment under the Gladiator brand. It consists of heavy duty shelving, storageunits, and various utiltiy racks. They have marketed refrigerators and freezers in stainless and on rollers for a few years to match the garage pieces. I have a few pieces in my garage and am very happy with them. The laundry is a natural and nice addition. In moderatie climates like CA many homes even fairly upscale homes have the laundry in the garage.

I don't understand the need for casters. The washer needs a water and drain connection and the dryer needs to be connected to a vent. Am I missing something or wouldn't it be a major pain to disconnect these machines in order to roll them somewhere else? Or are they both portables?

I do like the look and the diamond plate is very butch.
