This is the matching dryer to the washer I posted in a previous thread. It was built in 1980. It is also in really good shape for its age, better than the washer. The inside of the drum is like new. I definitely did more work to this dryer than it really required but I had planned on stacking it from the start and really didn’t want to make any repairs afterward if I could help it. I cleaned all of the lint out including the blower duct.

I replaced the rear drum seal due to it was curled and no longer making a seal. I also replaced the front drum bearings and seal. Installed new rollers for the heck of it cause the original ones really were still fine. Replaced the crumbling blower duct seal to the bulkhead.

Drum Light In WPs 24" 3.4 CF Dryers

There is a recess in the balk-head for one, the only WP-KM dryers I ever saw one in are the full height 24" models.

These 3.4 CF dryers also have had an electronic dry sensor for the last 20 years in the 120 volt versions, I have converted some of these 120 V models to 240 V or even gas and left the ES system in place.

Thanks. I've seen them with the electronic sensor at the back of the drum.
I see the drum is lit on picture 10 of 10, in the first set of pics. But the hole on the bulkhead is closed, in the other pictures. So I am wondering if the light was added on when refurbishing the machine.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to notice the light. It is just a magnetic light I put in there for the picture to show how good the condition of the drum is after nearly 40 years. One could be installed by cutting a perfect hole in the bulkhead and acquiring a used or NOS socket and lens. As mentioned the indent is there.
