Model WRS325FDAB06. Family friend, complaint of ice maker not filling (but running harvest cycles). I misunderstood at first that drinking water dispensing is working, but it is not and she clarified later that water dispensing had stopped first (although it may have been concurrent and she didn't immediately realize until the ice supply ran out).
Both inlet valves test good, are receiving power and are actuating.
I asked when was the last filter replacement. She didn't recall for sure but possibly before May 2021, maybe not that long.
I pulled the filter, although leery in case of a leak/flood if the filter is required. Water flow then worked to both points, and no flooding.
There is water in the filter, droplets on the connectors and drips when turned over.
Is this indication of a bad filter housing?
The filter is left out, pending her getting a couple replacements next week ... which won't fix the problem if the housing is bad, so I need to advise her accordingly.
