How is the silverware basket loaded? Out of the machine and on the counter? Sitting on the door as opposed to hanging off of it? I've never been a fan of this arrangement, but I suppose I could have gotten used to it.
Like these Whirlpools, loading the top (third) rack (AKA the cutlery tray) on my Miele takes a little more time, but unlike the Whirlpool, there is a major payoff. With this design, nesting is encouraged. When it's time to unload, pull out the rack, grab forks, knives and spoons by the handful and put them back into their caddie compartments with one fairly swift move. At this point, I wouldn't want to go back to using a basket regardless of where in the dishwasher it was located.
