Hello,
I'm an Australian who has been living in the U.K. (London) for some years.
I can remember as a child watching our Simpson top loader in wonder.
After some renovations I was able to fit in my own top loader a 2002 Whirlpool direct drive Gold American Collection Ultimate Care II washer, model 3RGSC9455JQ1 and dryer model 3RLEC8646KQ0.
Whilst I'd argue that the washer doesn't clean my whites as well as my much smaller Bosch front loader or spin them out as dry (the Bosch washer as a top spin speed of 1600 rpm) its so much fun to watch and hear oh and work on the old top loader.
I recently had the opportunity to purchase two more of the same washing machine in mint unused condition. They had been purchased for a hotel and been unboxed and sat waiting to be put into use if their other washers failed. They never did. Apart from a few light marks they are like new. I had to put the front feet on one to move it into a spare room. All the brochures, hoses etc still in the tub.
I've a 2001 U.K. brochure and I'll try to add a page if I can.
Long live parts availability and this interesting site!
