I have my folks Whirlpool Washer on the classified ads for giving away free but thought I would also post it here. This is a great old washer. The only thing it needs is for the belt to be replaced. It never leaked a drop. We are moving and can't take it with us. I really don't want to scrap it. I have all the paperwork, manuals, etc. for this specific model. Has to be picked up in Asheville, NC. I can help load. Would really like for someone to take this. thanks. Larry

Here's a lightened pic of the timer from his other posting in Shopper's Square.

Has a "Washable Knits" designation in the Perm Press cycle.  Note that the arrow and index mark are positioned a little before 6-mins, between 6-mins and what would be 4-mins.  There's a speed shift from high agitation to low at 4 mins.  Tagging Knits at that position possibly is intentional to catch the low speed but 6 mins of agitation if the timer cams fall exactly right.

Super on Normal but not on Perm Press (which was a step-up feature for the TOL Imperial Mark 12).

My grandma had a Supreme 80 like this except the knob for the water level was the older style and it wasn't a super capacity. I've always wondered why hers had the lid switch on the front right of the door while every other one I've seen has it on the back of the door.

Whirlpool changed the lid switch design several times.  Mercury switch attached to the right lid hinge.  A cup-like actuator set in the rear edge of the lid.  A plunger on right edge of the lid.  Switch under the top deck near the console triggered by the right-rear lid hinge. Maybe some I missed.  Now locking lids.
