I did not get that Mont wards set I bought a old Whirlpool belt drive Surge altor  machine..  I got both of them for a 100 bucks which is fine by me..

I do love having a lint filter again.. The only issue is to me it does not look like it fills up enough.. The machine only has two settings ex small and large

Here is some pics I was wondering if this machine should be filling more than this..

The machine is not a large load compared to what I have had in the past but it does wash great...

The washer model number is LHA5500W1 ... Has anybody else had one of these machines?

water level

That is a very stingy water level and for some reason those 14 pound machines of that vintage were all like that. This caused all kinds of performance problems and poor washing complaints. It also caused the motor to work too hard and get noisy.Whenever I sold or repaired these machines I would adjust the water level to an inch or so under the tubring edge and then those machines performed great and made for some very happy customers.I am a big believer in raising water levels they are almost always too low and you never see two that are the same. There are some out there who will disagree with me on this as I dont know many servicers who adjust water levels.I have nearly gotten into brawls at service schools because someone thought it was crazy to adjust water levels, well that adjustment is critical to the washer performing well.I would give that switch a turn at a time until the right level is reached it usually takes three.

I have no idea the year it is from.. I think it is a 1980 model because the dryer has a old Whirlpool brochure that shows all there appliances and the clothes

and the colors harvest gold  was pictured....  I know it washes like hell reminds me of the 20pound Norge I grew up with....
