Umm,.. yeah they do Chet...how many VMW machines have you owned to make such claims? Do you know this by experience ? My Whirlpool 4816 just came today and according to the serial number CE3300902 it was made this month. So far so good. Maybe this won't have an issue with the board. Even despite Whirlpool's problems, I'll still take their laundry over GE. Speed Queen is now priced out of my range brand new. We got to do what we got to do....

Look at review and look at posts online, so many bad control boards on modern units, plus your washer is practically brand new it won’t start to have issues until about a year or so. A brand new VMW obviously will work unless it’s defective or something.

I uploaded a quick video of the WTW8127 washing a big load of towels on Max Fill setting. It did a great job on the towels, bringing down groundwater levels in the area noticeably but a sacrifice I'm willing to make for now.

This is a VMAX model and those don’t have major control board issues like the basic ones do. Although this particular model does have issues with its slider or bearings, the older VMAX’s were good and as long as the bearings were good on the older VMAX machines the repairs were easy. The newer VMAX’s get more control board issues but it’s not that often compared to the 2023 or 2024 basic VMW.

Sorry, but that machines whine and slow sluggish agitation annoys me.
If it wern't for that whine, the thing would put me to sleep.
My neighbor's Hotpoint has agitation like that too, and he complains that it doesn't clean his laundry well.

I agree with you Matt, you can't compare a transmission based top loader with a reverse-for-agitate motor machine.
