IMHO

I think Whirlpool is doing a decent job of trying to make it's different brands look different. For the uniformed masses, if you look at that machine sitting next to a Whirlpool, you wouldn't know they are the same. Maybe they will do the same thing with Kenmore. I was in Lowes a couple of days ago and noticed that (at least for now) all the TL machines looked the same. It made me think of GM cars in the 80's. Everything was the same, only the panel font and badge was different.

What you have is beautiful. What other Maytags do you have? I am restoring a pair of 806's right now and can't wait to hear them running. The center dial Maytag is like the 450/380/560 SL Mercedes Benz....classics never to be forgotten.

Hi Liam. I have an 806 but it is a suds saver model.
I cannot use the suds saver as I do not have space for
a collection tub. My machine is in harvest gold.
Works like a charm. That is back when Maytag made a
superior product.

And I still have Liam's Maytag 806 demos. They bring back childhood memories of my hanging around in the laundry room. Hi Laundry Shark.

You know I would love to get as many different types of classic washers and dryers into a recording studio one day and make high quality multi channel recordings of then. Maybe it is because I am visually impaired, but growing up I got just as much pleasure from the sounds of these machines as from the sight of them.
