Hello to all
I have noticed that my washer spin is not as fast as it used to be. I have checked the belts and they seem to be fine I have also checked the speedshifter and it kicks in fine.
does any one have any suggestions on what it might be? or is it just a trait of the machine? could it be that the motor is starting to go bad?

Hi Coldspot
thank you for your responce. yes I could use the belt #.
perhaps you can tell me just what the spin speed should be. it leaves the clothes wet enough so I can wring out excess water by hand. I think that it is spinning at about 350 or pos 400. I should give you the model BLT LT 600 EXD4 and you might be able to tell me just how fast of a spin I should have?
I am a bit curious as to what year it might be?
thanks for any help you can give me if I can save this old machine from the crusher all the more better again thanks for the answer.

I have a similar model under the Gibson name. Spin speed is about 500 rpm's...clothing should not be wringing wet,but a very damp dry. Spin belt part # is Q62152, but is discontinued. You may be able to find one online or at Repairclinic.com.

Hi
thank you for all the time you have spent and answering my questions. I think that my spin is slower because of the belt . I have cleaned the shift pully and lubicated the shift lever in hopes of getting it to spin a bit faster. the clothes are damp dry but I can still ring out a bit more water by hand and I do not rember having that trouble when I had a Real Westinghouse L8M and L120M. is their a way to up the spin speed say by putting in a larger motor???
