Ok guys. I got in a argument on Facebook over who built Frigidaire dishwashers post spin tube. Around 65 thru 79 I have always heard D and M built them A person on f b who collects dishwashers all but said I was crazy. I like to be accurate so who built them

PhilR has a Frigidaire top-loader that seems to use a D&M cabinet design, but it has the Super-Surge washing system.   To the untrained eye, just looking at it from a picture on the interwebs, one might conclude falsely that it was a D&M build.

His is a 1968 model - I'll bet by that time Frigidaire had abandonded the impeller version of their portables which were made by you-know-who.

It was me that questioned your comments.

There is so much bad information on those Facebook vintage groups, like “my 1947 Flair”.
Argument? I simply asked for more proof than “so-and-so told me”. I also want accuracy with my comments, which is why I challenged you to provide back-up information. Based on how D&M built dishwashers, I couldn't understand why they would deviate from the design they private-labeled for every other manufacturer.
Not once did I ever question your sanity. You would see that if you didn't delete the posts on Facebook.

Facebook Groups

Oh don't get me going about the vintage appliance groups on Facebook...  I have left most of them because of the 'expertise' offered there.  The final straw for me came several months ago in a group discussing washer/dryer combinations and I offered what I know from buying, restoring, and oh yeah, using the 1956 GE - I was told that I 'could not possibly understand the complexity of these machines'.  My fuse blew and god help anyone from one of these groups who would ever dare ask me for advice or help now.

D&M built Frigidaire model

They offered that weird hybrid D&M model with the Frigidaire wash-arm in the 1967-68 top-load models. Everything above the pump housing was the GM style, but the housing I believe was cast iron and not plastic. Definitely the one that PhilR has falls into this category.

I am no dishwasher expert

And most of you who know me know I’m one who likes to get things right I thought it was John who told me that but I stand corrected. I am more than willing to listen if I’m approached in the right way . Too old for drama
