Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Is it the musical one, "Whirlpool makes a better way to face a busy day ,busy day, busy day busy day.
Whirlpool makes a washer and dryer that takes all the mess out of permanent press.
Whirlpool makes a super.dishwasher, refrigerators and air conditioners.
Whirlpool makes a better way to face a busy day.
Whirlpool.". ?

Oh great, now this toon will stay in my head all afternoon. LOL

I do , but the memory is of parts of the commercial....was in college when this commercial aired. I remember him dumping his food into the dishwasher and laughing - still think it's funny, too.

Cute Commercial.  I don't remember it however.  I have played with this very machine before.  And it was on Casters.

The actor is not Andy Kaufman.  It is the same guy in every scene.

Voice Is Of An American Announcer

Used for Whirlpool and other commercials here "down South", but the advert is for Canada market IMHO.

Everything from the décor, actors and so forth just reminds me of Canada and not anything one recalls from American appliance commercials from the 1970's.

Portables in USA market seemed always to be shown in rather spacious kitchens IMHO that and or they were stacked with a dryer (never miss an chance to sell two appliances at once). Also think many American homes would have either a basement or other area for storage but not that huge cleaning closet the housewife wheels her unit out.

who you callin old?

I had to watch it twice but then I remembered...we were all sitting around the television at "Shady Pines" laughing until they locked us in our rooms for the night.

I had the same model with matching dryer in Coppertone, but used and found in a dark alley behind a thrift store back in 1984! And for the record, I don't remember the commercial -- I was born in '64 and the only commercial I can recall featuring a washing machine was a Sears Kenmore with a close up the scrubber agitator rollicking to the tune of the Nutcracker Suite's "Dance of the Reed Pipes."
