Who Wants to Be a Blackstone Expert?

I am contemplating selling everything Blackstone-related that I have in my possession, if the price were right. I'm not sure that I really want to do this, but I could be convinced by the right person.

After sorting and moving everything to my cellar, I realized that I had way more stuff that I'll ever need. I could thin out the collection by bringing parts to the junkyard. However, I would hate to break up such a large collection, and then not have something that was needed. Hey, this might be the world's largest collection of Blackstone items.

I only have three complete machines--a 350 washer, the matching gas dryer, and an ironer. They are not in restored, show condition; they were in everyday use by my mother. Parts???? I have transmissions, tubs, pumps, motors, gears, stainless tops, etc. I sorted and filled up about 25 milk crates of smaller parts before I ran out of crates. To take this entire collection, you'd probably need a small moving van and a full day.

If I can't find a good home for all this, then I'd probably keep most of it for the time being. There is only so much that a cellar can hold, and I reached that limit. So I figure it's all or nothing.

Why life is amazing and cool.

Just last night, I thought of starting a thread, entitled," ANY AND ALL BLACKSTONERS; PLEASE HELP.

You taught me how the Blackstone belt works, that it is V-shaped, you said, but I couldn't see it with all the pulleys, etc. Then one day, I figured it out. A piece of cake. Meantime, i was working with the "spider" gear atop the agitator spine, which sticks from time to time, when suddenly the machine froze. With the belt off the pump will turn and the motor hums fine, but the mechanism is frozen. How, dear Fred, do I thaw that sucker out?

A bit disabled now, I can't travel or lift too much, but maybe next spring or summer, I could help you out, something I would very much like to do.

The giant dials lite up, this one, beautifully in orange thanks to the bulbs installed by those Merry Pranksters, Senator Jon Jetcone of Boston and Senator Gregm of Worchester.
Too bad my too bright camera overpowered it, but there's a peek of the light at "MEDIUM" and at "2-WASH-15". It is a magnificent washing machine and an all-time favorite.
