I did something similar with my white 1973 WCD3T washer, no rapid advance but I replaced the console by the one from a 1976 WIC and I replaced the motor and wiring so it now has 3 speeds. 1976 was the last year for 3 speed motors in Frigidaire washers.

I also finally got a drying rack for the 1-18 dryer!

Nice videos

on that Three Speed Phil. That "handwashable" cycle is the bomb for knit sweaters! I have used that for years. I think its more delicate than a front loader on delicate setting.
