Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

It was cool to have a set like these. But as a daily driver, they were just too trouble prone. I finally quit using them after the spin shaft got chewed up by the sure spin clutch roller. The dryer was never that terrific and took a long time to dry a big load of clothes. Seems like there was always some problem with them.

It's a shame because they were so intriguing to use and watch operate. Just not really very durable as daily drivers. Maytag of that vintage had them beat on that. I had this model in white. The strangest feature was it agitates on a slower delicate speed until the water is at a certain level to keep the high splashes down. Great top loader though. I always wondered what would have happened if GM had introduced a front loader.

Yay! Glad it works, even on a rogue color machine.

If you cancel all options; wash time, options, etc., the timer will just run around in a circle, buzz and stop back at off.

There is a switch in the water level control that keeps pulsate speed on low below the small load level.
