Did I see something online yesterday about pre-ordering Windows 8? When is that coming out?
I'm an Apple/ Mac person, and upgraded everything in my tech world to OS-X Mountain Lion (iMac and MacBook Pro) and iOS 6 recently (iPads).

If you do figure this out, I'd like to know. Everytime I undock my work laptop (XP) and connect to a projector, I lose my icon layout. Obviously I end up displaying in a different resolution, but when I re-dock my layout does not return. (that is when I don't have to force a reboot because my monitors won't activate)
For home use Windows doesn't have a lot going for it these days. The big MS apps are available for Mac, and unless you're the hacker type (in the original, positive sense) and like to tinker with the hardware, the Mac can do everything the Windows box can without the headaches. It even runs Windows if you have a copy. I think you'd be surprised at the number of converts on this board.
