Windows 8 - does anybody have it? If so - question

Yes....

now that the issue is fixed, this laptop is FAST and fantastic and a pleasure to use...........the more I have been messing around with METRO since I have classic shell set up the way I want it and everything , I decided to take a look around metro.........It's kind of cool, almost like a "separate" app store for your computer.......

It's amazing that if someone that uses windows 7 were to use this computer, they probably would not be able to tell that it's windows 8....that's how good classic shell looks..... I was so terrified of windows 8, but now, it's nothing only after a few days on it....Boot time is quick, shut down is quick, I haven't noticed any lagging at all. It doesn't feel unstable to me at all and I LOVE the keyboard on this Lenovo laptop. I hate typing on laptops but this is the best laptop keyboard I have ever used.

I have had 8 since it came out. First you do not need any virus software. Windows 8 has it built in. I use only desktop version not the metro crap. also have classic shell. I use chrome with wifi. I would do a few things first.

beside the makers of the laptop pc site go to device manger. Look for you wifi card and other cards see who makes them. Next go straight to the makers sight and see if they have any updates that are different then the maker. I have a hp and there drivers for wifi where wrong for my pc.

I have no problems with 8 at all and find it much the same as 7.

Also in desktop you can down load windows live mail it is the same as 7's mail.

yeah - I downloaded

windows live essentials because I wanted Live mail and windows movie maker...

About the Wi-Fi adapeter in device manager: There is nothing wrong with my wi-fi....It's fine........but once I had a problem with wi-if a while back, and after trying everything I could think of, as a last resort, I went to device manager and uninstalled the wi-if adapter and its drivers with one click, then I rebooted windows, it found a new wi-fi adapter and I had to log into my network again, and everything was fine......

If you do it that way, are you getting the latest drivers for your adapter? I'm not sure

For those of us running Windows 8, MS finally merged the surface OS to windows 8 to make it 8.1.
The start button is back and other updated features.
Prepare to set 2 hours aside for this large update!

The more I use this POS the more I hate it!
No dropped down info on how to use certain window menu in start....
I've been a Windows man from win98SE and enjoyed all new platforms until this one.

Talk about trying to find information on how to use calendar within the system that is integrated with the web version under sync is beyond any logical reason for a child to understand when a full grown adult should know how to navigate. I think I'm done spending money on Missed steps with faults!
